Revisiting Technology and Where We are Headed.....

Everyone thinks of the "Big Bad Government" out to get everyone and to make those with new ideas that might disrupt the nature of things disappear.
While this is nice is Fairly tale stories it is not necessarily a reality.
The danger of propagating such an ideology is that "People believe it".
We have stagnated many times in our history as a human species as a result of just such conspiracy ideologies taking hold. The times of early religion might be a good example to use.
Any sort of ideology that went against the religious dogma being practiced and preached at the time was clearly wrong. Those that did question were either locked up, killed or tortured until they supposedly came to their senses.
These periods of time last longer than most people understand. Sometimes they can last for thousands of years where no advancement is allowed and dark times encompass the world.
I have no desire to return to any such time. The Alex Jones's of the world can launch their lunacy and that is one of the benefits of living in a free speech country. However, he is a divider. Someone that serves only to create conflict.
This brings me to the point of technological advances. Moving into a Type 1 society.
Dark ages can happen in the blink of an eye. Yes, there are many self-serving people in the government but that is nothing new. The type of people the government attracts is those that are less than stellar leaders. In fact they are the worst of the worst. You know the ass kissing, pandering, pretentious, know it all's that you couldn't stand in high school either.
I am more interested in the advances being made on all fronts in technology. I want nothing to stand in its way.
Over the next ten years, we should see incredible advances in medicine, machines, and learning. Everything should change for the better so that no one is left behind. Personally, I want to help work on such a future. I want to work on complex problems that I presently do not have the smarts to work on.
If we all put our time and energy along with some resources into helping these gifted scientists we will all advance exponentially. If we get bogged down in political nonsense or religious dumbfoolery it won't work.
Think before you act. Know what an important issue really is and pick your battles.
In this week the markets are not going to do anything spectacular so I would not be looking for any major moves. Cheers!
