The Trump Mirage...

When I hear "The Donald" speak at his conventions and gatherings I still hear the same idiotic, pompous and overconfident, yammerings of the same guy throwing money at golf pros when he hosts his golf tournament.
This guy loves being in the limelight which makes him a less than desirable billionaire. He flaunts his wealth, he flaunts his wives, and he makes the same sales pitches that he does likely when he is procuring other peoples money from the banks.
Yes he is contagious that way. Yes he will generally appeal to a populace that at one time would have laughed at him but now will accept Peter Pan if he promises them a return to the 80's and 90's which were a time of demographic booms.
He will be like any other promise making politician when he gets in there. He is going to see how hard it really is to implement the type of change that he is talking about. What worries me more is his need to be a winner at all costs. He probably is right this way, where he will make a stand far too often on issues he has no business making a stand on. Assuming the role of the bully, even worse than now.
Making America Great is not about one mans verbal barrage. It is accepting the fact that demographics do not support the kind of boom that went on for decades. Reduction of debt must be a priority which will be painful to anyone. Even the Donald is not going to want to tackle this one.
My worry with this buffoon who is really part of the problem rather than the solution is his need to demonstrate all the time that his way is right. I shudder for the US and the world when he takes his BS act to other countries. Diplomacy is not Donald's strong suit. Neither is tact. I would go as far as to say neither is his manners. He is going to be the worst kind of arrogant prick the the US has ever seen as a president. The people misinterpret his obnoxious ways as being "strong". They couldn't be further from the truth. Inner strength has nothing to do with what Donald is about.
He is a Hollywood type, rent collector, where his greatest talent is schmoozing and selling.
His high taste for luxury and lack of humility most of the time will not serve the people well. They don't see this unfortunately because any change is better than the present but they will see that this choice was not the best.
I think that Donald means well. So did Governor Ventura and Governor Schwartzenegger. How much real change happened there? I rest my case.
Exposing the corruption that everyone already knows is there is what he is going to do. He'll show everyone alright how honest he is. Exactly what is that going to do even if it were the case? It is like someone gloating after winning a pointless argument just to prove that they knew all along? Did it solve the problem? Or did it further divide? Think about it.
People should be careful of the sirens call. The rocks are there whether you see them or not. I see this as a "go from the fry pan into the fire" type of solution.
It might make you feel good to puff your chest. It might make you feel better beating up on some poor, hapless, fellow traveler. You might even prove a point at some horrific cost to humanity. However solve a difficult problem? No.
The markets will also react violently to a Donald victory just for reference. In conclusion be careful what you wish for. Cheers!
