The Markets and a Tragedy

Will the shooting yesterday in Vegas impact the markets in any way?
In a word No.
This is what I have been talking about in why we are headed to war in some capacity. It has nothing more to do with other than the unraveling of societal fabric. There will be many soul searchers and protests which only server to stoke the fire already burning. It is not the shooters fault although he could have picked a much better way to demonstrate his displeasure with his own life.
We have lost touch with how good we have it here in North America compared to the rest of the world. We take for granted that we are entitled to a higher life standard than anyone else. We think that the world continues to owe us something. We continue to believe that we are doing right when in most cases we are not. We accept the changing rules for those who commit serious offenses and we think that someone else it to blame for our own short comings.
Gun control is NOT the answer. Let me say that again, "gun control is not the answer". That will only serve to create more of a black market and while the criminals will have their guns we will not. Yes, it is your right to carry firearms. A few black sheep should not ruin it for everyone.
One would say that evidence clearly points to the fact that gun control is needed. I disagree. It is just one more area that the government would meddle in which always makes it worse not better. Gun control comes from society itself. From people who either use the weapon for good or for bad.
How hard would it be to find some other alternative to guns. I can think of a host of things I could use myself if I wanted to inflict death and destruction. Guns are only one area.
Jump into a large transport and see what kind of damage you can do. Unleash a virus of some sort and see what happens. Contaminate drinking water and watch the damage. I could go on and on but you get the drift. It depends on how badly you want to do it. Anger, hate, disappointment, hopelessness, helplessness and despair all feed the fire. These are the culprits.
I encourage change in a positive way but I don't agree with distractions. In the US there are too many distractions. Most of which are not good. It servers only to confuse you even more to what should be considered right and wrong. Ethically is destroys reason.
This is where the problem is. Not in Trump or anyone else. It is what is deemed acceptable.
What concerns me is it is bound to get worse before it gets better. It won't correct itself until gratitude triumphs over greed. It won't get better until we all see each other as connected. All working towards the same goals and visions.
Division is king at the moment and this will only serve to fuel the fires of rage. Not a healthy emotion. Anyway I feel for the people effected by this act of insanity. If you are one of the families my blessings and condolences go out to you. However more rage is not the answer. Cheers!
