What Are People Looking For?

I don't think that it is any secret that since the 2008 collapse people are searching for something. They feel let down by people they trusted to look after them and their precious assets. They wealth, health, social groups and jobs all seem to be without purpose. Without meaning.
All the promises made over the years seem to be falling apart before their very eyes and in most cases they don't know what to do. They are now in their fifties, sixties and seventies and the find that they haven't enough financial wealth to retire and so they find that they are working harder than ever just to make ends meet.
This is a result of course of decades of inflationary pressure, poor money management, and a monetary system that is not very sound. A depreciating dollar has eroded what little purchasing power that they once had and this in turn has made them ever more dependent on the entity that caused it in the first place. That of course is the government.
I believe what you have to first realize is that this did not happen over night. It took many decades of abuse of the system. Everyone scampering for the one million dollar nest egg mark where they could live happily ever after.
      Well the dream burst.
There are all sorts of self help and talk shows springing up all over to take advantage of this trend. You know the one that says if you work ultra hard and practice sound money management techniques that you can turn your life around. While this is very true to an extent it is nothing new under the sun.
The principles have remained the same since Dale Carnegie put out his famous book and things haven't really changed that much at all since that time.
"Think and grow rich" is the first book of its kind that clearly states that you must use your mind and train your mind to think in terms of being wealthy. In other words the conscious mind influences your subconscious decisions. No secret there is it.
Yet you pay to attend Tony Robbins seminars, Deepek Chopra philosophy and Robert Kiosoki products all hoping that the money spent will be what turns you around. What makes your life meaningful. What makes you life better.
While I would say that it is good to know some of their principles and to practice them daily I am getting just a little tired of the same old message being given just with a different angle attached.
It is this simple. Your feelings affect how you feel and think. If you are sad then you are not going to be very productive. If you are stressed then your brain is being constantly bombarded with fight or flight chemicals which will only serve to make your thinking even worse. Any negative emotion is not really that healthy for you. However life has a way of serving them up constantly. It is how you respond to them that inevitably determines the decisions you make that will either help you or harm you even worse.
I would suggest that you stop trying to be super human. That is the first step in bringing your life under control. Realize that if you become rich it is probably more a opportunity meets preparation type of thing. There is a scant amount of people that actually achieve it. As in about 1% of the population. While it is completely possible for you to enter into this 1% group I would not suggest that you blindly rush to try to be one of them. There are very good reasons why but the first is simply financial. They have captured a market and they are doing everything in their power to stay on top. This means that although they might make 2 million a month they might spend 1.5 million to make that. It is hard enough to have this kind of money but to keep it is another thing. So stay tuned here and I will help you to get to the point where you are being your optimal self. No I won't charge you a thing. Cheers!
