Revisiting Bitcoin and Crypto Currencies....

If you are like the majority of folks you still see living the life of luxury in relation to crypto's. You hear about 51,000 % Returns, 61,000 % Returns and more of the same stuff. Yep it is possible.
However you need to keep in mind that although bitcoin can indeed be money at the same time it can go to zero. All it will take is for someone to design a better technology or for someone to figure out how to hack the supposedly unhackable security that comprises Bitcoin. To date there are better block chains out there. Like Etherum for example. It is superior to Bitcoin in the sense that you can do a lot more with it.
Right now you are chasing the top. Is that a smart thing to do?
You already know my answer to that. Bitcoin surged recently to as high as 4800 plus and as of today it is back around $3500.00 per coin. I want you to think about it for a minute. What would make Bitcoin so valuable as to be worth this absurd price per coin. Making it for all intensive purposes more valuable than an ounce of gold. There will be those that say you can port Bitcoin much easier and that it is harder to trace.
       True.
However one exists in fantasy land and the other is in the tangible world. That is what online technology is. Fantasy. Like virtual reality that every is talking about there are good points to it but also bad points. The advance of virtual reality will likely render Bitcoin obsolete. It will likely render a lot of industry obsolete.
However if you ask me whether I think it is a good thing to have people zoned out in fantasy land for long periods of time, I am going to strongly state that it is not a good thing.
If used the right way it holds a lot of potential for good but I doubt that is how most people will use it. They will use it to become even more absorbed in a surreal world where they no longer are even able to relate to who they once were. Industries like Porn know this and of course they are on the forefront of the revolution. Casino's will likely follow suit and so will trading along with other forms of excitable experiences.
Tell me why one would bother to toil and struggle in the real world when you can create a world of your own in which you can be accepted for whatever character you decide to create. It is bad enough we have the ability to be whatever we want already online. Can you imagine what will happen to societal fabric when virtual reality is indistinguishable between reality?
I've said it before and I will say it again, "you had better be informed about what you are investing in regardless of the profit potential".
If that were all there was to investing then you might as well become a drug dealer or operate a booze smuggling operation. I don't mean this in a mean spirited way either. These are profitable areas. They make people a lot of money. However what is the cost?
We need to care deeply about how we effect our fellow man or our profits are nothing but a form of vanity. You morph into a person that cares only about how much you are making and not what these profits are doing to others. There is talk of bitcoin racing toward one million per coin.
I would not take that sort of risk even thought it is possible. First of all if Bitcoin is really worth that much what would it make other online currencies worth? Is this realistic? The ease at which bitcoin is created (which is nothing more than computer code) tells me that this is not the case. Secondly that is not what the charts are telling me at the moment. Technically the chart points to further downside versus upside.
Invest in YOUR future. A future that is good for people in general and not for a privileged few. A future that is good for your children and future generations. If you can't find investments like this then you have to question why bother to invest at all. Money is just that, money!
