Week of Sept 24 to 30th

I am not looking too hard at the markets to do anything amazing this week unless of course war breaks out. Oil is at a pivot level and it may remain caught in this narrow range for quite some time. It should eventually hick up to the up side but how far is anyone's guess. Gold may move subsequently lower over the coming week or two as it has formed an interesting pattern where it usually returns to test the bottom of it at 1206 or slightly lower before rebounding higher. The US Dollar should continue to rally for the time being which should cause other currency pairs to fall against it.
With the ongoing posturing between the US and NK it is a matter of time before action is taken by the US. I don't think that this is something to be taken lightly. However I am sure that the US has some interesting surprises for the leader of the NK party. That being said it is important to keep in mind that North Korea is a proxy of China. They certainly would not be making such serious threats if China were not secretly behind the posturing. I think China knows it is a matter of time before it finds itself in confrontation with the US over the Spratly Islands in the Pacific SouthWest. Why not further distract them with NK posturing.
While I am no fan of Trump I do think that it is about time that someone walked the walk. He is at least willing and able to call a "Spade" a "Spade". To me much better than the posturing, foolishness of Obama, Bush or Clinton. I think the man really wants to change the status quo. He wants to make a difference. It bothers him that he can't. That the deep state is so entrenched that everything he tries to do is rejected. It makes him look like all other presidents over the past forty years or so. That of course is powerless pawns who do nothing more than try to pacify. I think this really eats Trump up. I am sure he loves his country. I am sure that he wants the best for his children and their children. He knows that the deep state has destroyed the way of life as most people knew it in their quest for power. I am sure that he wishes he could do something to overrun these rapers of society.
Sadly he can't.
The unrest in the US right now is probably at all time highs. The division, the hate, the anger are boiling over. You can see it. It recently manifested itself in sports.
Trump is right. It is an honor to be invited to the white house. He is correct to say that if athletes can't see it that way then they should not be invited. Whether they agree with who is president or not is irrelevant. When invited to such a place one should be respectful. This is simply proper etiquette or manners. Often we go to meeting and put on a face of acceptance when we would rather not simply because we know it is the right thing to do or we simply have to. The rude behavior that "The Donald" has encountered since he has been in the White House is to me unacceptable. Leaders shunning his hand shake. Athletes scorning his invitations. Inferior nations insulting his prowess as leader of the most powerful nation on earth. In days of old these little rogue states would have been destroyed long ago.
You can call President Trump many things but you cannot say the man does not have pride. You cannot say that the man is a coward. You certainly cannot fault him for wanting to make his country what is was.
The problem is not him but rather in society itself. When right becomes wrong and vice versa you have an unraveling of the social fabric that binds us together. When rage replaces forgiveness and when morals decay to the level that they are at now then one can know that war will soon follow.
I may not agree with President Trump on everything but I would much rather have him as my neighbor than someone hell bent on destroying me. If he acts, he does so out of pride and not because he wants to harm us. Cheers!
