Why We Are Unavoidably Headed for War...
Contrary to what most pundits think, war will not erupt in the world as a result of some demagogue ideology or insane dictator. It will erupt from internal sources of confusion, moral decay and a continual tear of the social fabric that binds us all together as humans.
While my native Canada is not far behind I look south of the border and I see a circus show that has continued unabated for decades. The people go through their lives as if scripted and blindly unaware of the fatal path they are now on. Everything is about entertainment. Everything is surreal. It's about sales and having more. A complete disconnect from reality is the larger problem.
When the Roman Empire crumbled and I am not saying that it is the same it did so as a result of internal degradation. It became a sham. A show where the greatest part of people's days became an issue of entertainment rather than productivity. Distractions were everywhere and of course this allowed the enemy's of the empire to easily take back what at one time was thought to be impossible.
As the internal bickering and fighting got worse a further breakdown of what had made the empire great accelerated. Power as always was important but it was more of an internal struggle than being united. Corruption, debt and weak leader led the empire down the path of destruction even more quickly.
It is this internal break down that will too bring down a great country. Weak leaders and debt will only add fuel to the fire. At the moment there is a push to remove the debt ceiling forever while you still maintain the ability to print money recklessly forever. This is not a desirable things for a number of reasons but the main one is now being responsible is completely out of the question. After all there is no other country presently that can make the US accountable. If you play the game you are an ally and if you choose to not play the game well you are an enemy. Russia and China will not play the game and so this makes them dangerous and a threat. North Korea is simply a Chinese proxy and will continue to make threats. They can do this because well, they can. If China were to do this on its own it would not be acceptable by the world. However rouge countries can do this like Iran and NK. It is this outside posturing and the need to maintain the illusion of power that will push us all into war. The west clearly will not give up its corrupt ways. Moral and ethical fabric is at all time lows and so it will be easy to convince people that this battle is necessary to right the wrongs of the world and to make those countries accountable. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Let's say for example that you have a neighbor. He has a limitless credit card. He can continue to spend like a drunken sailor while you struggle and toil on a day to day basis trying to do things right. Your neighbor lives lavishly and has all the free time in the world to do whatever and with whomever he wishes. You see this on a daily basis. You see that he is totally corrupt in every way. You begin to question why he is allowed to do this when no one else can. You begin to despise your neighbors arrogance and irresponsible ways. Soon you begin to truly hate him. You envy his extravagant lifestyle while you struggle just to make ends meet. Soon you wish there was something you could do in order to make this freeloader accountable. It festers in you like a cancerous tumor. Soon you take action. You fight back.
Although this is a small example this is precisely what is happening on a global scale at the moment. The West believes that the party can do on forever and ever. The rest of the world doesn't like what they are seeing. At some point there will come an accountability issue. At some point someone is going to say enough is enough. That is why we are headed to war.
